As has been said before, we must protect and enlarge our native forests for biodiversity and local ecosystems to thrive. Quite separately we need to plant Giant Sequoias as the most land efficient trees on the planet for locking up carbon, as well as one of the most durable with redwood natural lifespans of up to 3500 years.
