Welcoming the Cibus Foundation!

Announcing our most recent partner supporting The Great Reserve, the Cibus Foundation. It was a complete joy to welcome their team onsite at our Abergavenny sequoia grove and plant their trees to begin their Sequoia journey with us.

As a group they have a wealth of knowledge and experience in both agriculture and forestry, so we enjoyed sharing ideas and hearing about their other work both as an organisation and personally.

The Cibus grove consists of 24 Giant Sequoias, as well as circa 500 other supporting nurse crop trees and natives on site. Over the next 150 years that should account for over 3000 tonnes or CO2 removed from the atmosphere, and over 250 years an impressive 12,0000 tonnes!

What better way to lock up some carbon while at the same time helping plant and protect an endangered species!
